Open an issue at github.com/SnackStudio/peel-releases/issues, or email hello@snackstud.io. It helps to include your macOS version, Peel's version (Peel ▸ About Peel), the archive's format, and what you expected to happen. Please don't send archives that hold private files.

Requirements

macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

Install

Download the latest release. Open Peel-1.1.0.pkg and follow the installer, or open the disk image and drag Peel to Applications (double-click Peel there and it offers to move itself). Or, with Homebrew: brew install --cask snackstudio/tap/peel.

Update

Peel checks for updates itself and asks before installing one. To check now, choose Peel ▸ Check for Updates…. Every update is signed and notarized.

Open archives with Peel by default

In Finder, select an archive and choose File ▸ Get Info. Under Open with, choose Peel, then click Change All.

Uninstall

Quit Peel and drag it from Applications to the Trash, or run brew uninstall --cask peel. To remove its settings and caches as well, use brew uninstall --zap --cask peel.
